Distance from Malaga to Seville
Located further inland away from the Mediterranean Sea, Seville is 131 miles from Malaga.
With the distance too short to have a direct flight, here are the three options available:
Car: With Malaga only being 131 miles from Malaga, you can drive there in 2hrs and 16mins by taking the A92 motorway.
Train: Spanish national rail operator Renfe has trains to Seville departing Malaga Maria Zambrano Station every 30 minutes.
The time it will take you can vary between 1hr 56mins to 2hrs 56mins depending on what train you take.
Please remember that tickets on the direct high-speed trains are more expensive.
The slower train involves a change of trains in Cordoba and takes an hour longer.
Bus: The least expensive option of getting from Malaga to Seville is to take the bus from Malaga central bus station, located on Paseo de los Tilos, s/n.
The United Kingdom subsidiary ALSA operates ten buses a day between Malaga and Seville, with the first bus departing Malaga at 07:00 and the last at 19:30.
All the buses are modern with air conditioning and free WiFi. The journey between Malaga and Seville by bus takes around 2hrs and 45mins and has ticket prices starting at 7.50

From Malaga to Seville by Train
When traveling from Malaga to Seville by train, be sure to be on the platform no later than 15 minutes before the train’s scheduled departure.
Seats in tourist class are configured in a 2+2 layout while seats in (preferente) are laid out in a 2 +1 configuration.
When traveling on the AVANT trains, be aware that there is a ten-minute stop in Cordoba to allow the driver to switch ends of the train as it has to depart Cordoba on the same line that it arrived on before switching lines to Seville.
During the summer months, the trains can be packed, so to ensure you have a seat, be sure and purchase your tickets in advance on here.
Price: Prices for the AVANT high-speed train start at 37.35€. Prices for the slower trains that require a change in Cordoba start from 19.95€.

From Malaga to Seville by Bus
Avoid the 16:00 if you can as it makes 11 stops and takes four hours.
All buses between Malaga and Seville depart from the Estación de Autobuses de Málaga bus station and arrive at the Seville, Plaza de Armas Bus terminal in Seville.
Bus stations are linked with each city’s public transit network.
Like the train, the buses can be packed during the summer, so you are best to purchase your ticket in advance. – Check price tickets here.
Price: From 7.50€ to 19.24€ one way. Return fares vary but are less expensive than buying two one-way tickets.
Schedule: 09:00, 14:30, 16:00, 17:30, and 18:30.
From Malaga to Seville by Car
Many people vacationing in Andalucia opt to rent a car for the time they will be in Spain.

Having a car allows you to travel at your own pace and explore areas that are difficult to reach using public transportation.
Driving from the center of Malaga, Follow C. Luis Montoto and Av. de Andalucía to the A-92 motorway.
The A-92 is a none-toll road and should, depending on traffic or road works, take around 2hr and 10mins.
From Malaga Airport to Seville
Málaga–Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) is the fourth busiest airport in Spain after Madrid, Barcelona, and Palma de Mallorca.
Before the global COVID-19 pandemic, the airport handled nearly 20 million passengers a year.
Regarded as being the gateway to the Costa del Sol, you can get from the airport to the center of Malaga four ways:

From Malaga airport to Seville by Train
Getting from Malaga Airport (AGP) to Seville by train is very simple, and if you select the AVANT train, you only need to change once in Malaga.
From Malaga Airport, take the C1 Line. Trains run every 20 minutes from 06:10 until 24:20 and cost 1.80€.
The travel time from Malaga Airport to Estación de Málaga María Zambrano is around 12 minutes. When you arrive at Malaga station, switch platforms for the train to Seville.
Price: around 40€ one way.
Schedule: Time your airport train to connect with the high-speed AVANT train to Seville. Trains depart Málaga María Zambrano at 06:43, 09:10, 14:15, 18:18, 20:13.
From Malaga airport to Seville by Bus
Both the bus stain and the rail station in Malaga are adjacent to each other.
To avoid having to walk between stations, if you plan on traveling to Seville from Malaga by bus, you might as well take the bus from the airport to the city center Malaga Bus Station.
The journey time from the airport to Maria Zambrano bus station takes between 15 and 25 minutes depending on the time of day and costs 3.00€.

Once at the Estación de Autobuses de Málaga bus station, change for the ALSA bus to Seville.

Taxi from Malaga Airport to Seville
The easiest way to get from Malaga Airport (AGP) to Seville is to take a taxi directly outside the arrivals terminal. – Check out tickets here

Using a car service has many options over a taxi. First of all, you know precisely up front how much it will cost.
