To make the Murcia salad you need tuna, tomatoes, potatoes, eggs, and olive oil.

  • 500 gr red pear tomato
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cans (200gr to 300gr) tuna
  • 1 onion
  • 100g pitted black olives
  • 3 potatoes
  • 1/4 cup (50 ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt (to taste)

How to Make Murcia Salad – Step by Step Guide

  1. The first step in this ensalada Murciana recipe is to peel the potatoes, chop them into small squares, and boil them for 30 minutes or until cooked. Set them aside to cool.
  1. Then, cook the eggs in a saucepan with water and bring them to a boil, for approximately 10 minutes. Then, remove the eggs from the hot water, cool them under cold water, and peel them. Set them aside for later.
  1. Now wash and cut the tomatoes into slices or quarters, depending on your preferences. You can peel them and remove the seeds if you prefer. Place them in a large bowl.
  1. After that, peel and finely chop the onion. Add the chopped onion to the container with the tomatoes. Cut the black olives in half or smaller pieces and add them.
  1. Then, open the tuna cans and drain the oil or water they contain. Crumble the tuna and add it to the container with the other ingredients for the Murcian salad.
